For the longest time, fans of Team Cherry's
Hollow Knight, the critically acclaimed 2D Metroidvania, have been wanting for the game to get a physical release. In August of 2018, Team Cherry surprised their fans by announcing that the game would be getting a physical release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switvh, and PC.
Sadly, back in November of last year, Team Cherry announced that they could no longer deliver the long-awaited
Hollow Knight physical copies due to the team being overwhelmed with all the work this implied; something that fans of the game completely understood.
Now, thanks to the help of Fangamer,
Hollow Knight will finally get the physical release that fans had been clamouring for since the game came out.
The official Fangamer website lists two different editions, in the form
Hollow Knight: Standard Edition and
Hollow Knight Collector's Edition; both of which expected to be shipped on the
31st of May and coming out for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Pre-orders for both the
Hollow Knight Standard Edition and
Hollow Knight Collector's Edition are currently available at the
official Fangamer website and retail for $29 USD and $64 USD respectively; with the Nintendo Switch
Standard and
Collector's Edition retailing at $34 USD and $69 USD, respectively.
Standard Edition:
Collector's Edition:
An epic action adventure through a vast ruined kingdom of insects and heroes. Explore twisting caverns, battle tainted creatures and befriend bizarre bugs, all in a classic, hand-drawn 2D style.
Hollow Knight is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam.
