Mega Man is back after a very long hiatus and now that we've got two trailers for
Mega Man 11, fans are starting to talk about the character more, and more by the minute.
With
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1+2 releasing on the Nintendo Switch, Mega Man is now available in every current console—which is great news for fans of the Blue Bomber. The announcement that a
Mega Man X Legacy Collection is on the way has also fans speculating about a new
Mega Man X game being in the works, which would make sense given that it's pretty much what happened with the
Legacy Collections leading up to
Mega Man 11 being announced.
But not all is good news as
Mega Man 11 may not even get a physical release in the UK and Europe. The news comes from
TheNintendoChannel who have reported that they got confirmation from Capcom Europe that
Mega Man 11 will not be getting a physical copy of the game and fans will only receive it in digital form.
The pre-orders for the game became available on the
29th of May with the release of the latest trailer, and the Nintendo Switch version of the game will even bundle a new
Mega Man amiibo. In regards to the amiibo, Capcom Europe also confirmed that there were no announcements for that release.
The good news is that the Nintendo Switch version of the game will not region-locked, so fans in the UK and Europe may still be able to get that amiibo version and play the very same game that comes in the bundle. In the meantime, let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope that Capcom Europe decides to release physical copies of
Mega Man 11 like the rest of the world.
Mega Man is back! The newest entry in this iconic series blends classic, challenging 2D platforming action with a fresh new visual style. The new Double Gear system boosts Mega Man's speed and power for a new twist to the satisfying gameplay the series is known for.
Mega Man 11 wil be available on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam on the 2nd of October.
