Square Enix and Avalanche Studios' highly anticipated
Just Cause 4 will see Rico Rodriguez travelling to the fictional South American country of Solís looking for answers about his past, while he also tries to take down terrorist organisation called the Black Hand, lead by the ruthless Gabriela Morales.
Ever since the
Just Cause series was first introduced to audiences back in 2006, players have felt like the protagonists of their very own action movie, and for good reason;
Just Cause is a series of games that let the player pretty much do anything and destroy whatever they want.
Just Cause 4 will, once again, allow players to do everything they want in the biggest open world the series has ever seen; in a place so unforgiving that even wheather conditions, and forces of nature as a whole can prove to be a threat for Rico.
Square Enix has just released a bunch of trailers that reimagine
Just Cause 4 as an action movie, all set in a different time period that gives each trailer all of the cliches from that specific era; referencing classic spy and action movies like the classic
James Bond movies,
First Blood, and even the original
The Fast and the Furious.
Take a look:
Welcome to Solis, a huge South American world home of conflict, oppression and extreme weather conditions. Just Cause 4 sees rogue hero Rico Rodriguez land in Solis to hunt down the truth about his past, at any costs.
Just Cause 4 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 4th of December.
