The Kickstarter site for the long-awaited Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has posted a new update by Koji Igarashi, the game's director. The announcement has revealed that the game will no longer be supporting Mac and Linux operating systems, which is likely to disappoint some backers that have already paid for any of those versions.

Luckily, Igarashi addressed this issue and has offered backers the option to change the platform of their order for one that will actually be supported by Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. In order to do so, backers need to send them an email and requesting for the platform change.

By the looks of it, however, backers will not be able to cancel their order and get a refund, but being given the choice to change the platform is actually their best option right now.

Igarashi also lets us know that development for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has finally reached its peak and the team is currently checking performance on each of the currently available platforms, as well as fixing some progression-blocking bugs in order to deliver players a proper gaming experience. Play as Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist's curse that slowly crystallizes her body. Battle through a demon-infested castle and defeat its master to save yourself, and all of humanity.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam in 2019.
