At its core,
Outward is an old-school open-world RPG with some gameplay mechanics taken from the survival genre. Nine Dots Studio's upcoming title can be played solo or cooperatively, in both local and online split-screen. The Deep Silver-published title will give you a chance to master 96 skills and spells, explore 4 regions (each with up to 9 dungeons), learn 150 recipes, and use 9 different weapon types.
In
Outward, you're not taking on the role of the chosen one as you play as an ordinary adventurer who will have find a nice way to hide and defend themselves not only against threatening creatures (with more than 40 distinct enemies), but also the hazardous environmental conditions and infectious diseases.
Outward will even force you to get enough sleep, taking a page out of Bethesda's playbook.
It's a lot to process, but the recently released dev diaries for
Outward should make things a bit clearer, showcasing the game's co-op mode, fighting mechanics, wanderlust, and adventuring. Considering that
Outward is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow, waste no time and check it out down below:
