DC Universe Online has been around since 2011, first releasing on the PlayStation 3 and PC. It subsequently made its way onto the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and, as of today, has now arrived on the Nintendo Switch.

The game is an MMORPG and is totally free to download. However, it will take up 24.2 GB on your Nintendo Switch console — meaning that it requires an installed SD card to play. Interestingly, unlike most multiplayer games that are available on the Nintendo Switch; DC Universe Online doesn't require a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Below you can read a statement from, the Creative Director of DC Universe Online, SJ Mueller — and even further below that you can check out the brand new trailer that Daybreak Games has released for the newly released Nintendo Switch version:

"DC Universe Online is the ultimate Super Hero fantasy. Who hasn't imagined what their own Super Hero would look like or what superpowers they'd have? Then hit the streets of Gotham City and Metropolis and partner with the greats like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, or even The Joker. In DCUO, it’s YOUR character, with the DC Universe as your playground to either protect or conquer!"
