Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is very nearly here, and while there's been some controversy surrounding the fact Task Force X is going to, well, kill the Justice League, many DC fans are intrigued to see where this story takes us.

The Rocksteady game will feature Kevin Conroy's final performance as Batman and word recently leaked that Uncharted star Nolan North is going to lend his voice to Superman. He first played the Man of Steel in Young Justice and, based on a clip which has gone viral on X, the actor has been perfectly cast.

Last week, we caught up with North to discuss his roles as Amazo and Green Lantern in Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC's Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths

During our conversation, we asked how it felt to step back into the shoes of the world's most iconic superhero.

"Suicide Squad, I was able to do Superman and Penguin. That’s one of my longtime collaborations with Warner Bros. and Rocksteady. It’s one of my favourites. You know, again, anytime you ask to be Superman, you jump at it."

"I remember when we did Young Justice and I was originally cast as Superboy. The first day we were recording, Greg Weisman came up and said, ‘Hey, you know, we realised Superboy is a clone of Superman and -’ he actually said these words ‘- would you mind playing Superman in the show as well?’ What am I gonna say? ‘No, I don’t wanna do that!’ No."

"Superboy was a youthful, energetic voice and Superman is just…it’s how I sound when I tell my dogs to stop barking. It’s that more formal Clark Kent kind of deal. It’s always great fun to play him."

"There are some really…it all goes back to good writing and there are some really cool scenes in Suicide Squad that were fun to play as Superman. I hope people enjoy that."

Any actor we've spoken to who has played Superman seems similarly blown away that they're getting to lend their voices to the DC Comics icon. In North's case, it's a role he's all too familiar with and it sounds like he relished exploring a new side of the hero in the upcoming video game.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One is now available on Digital and arrives on 4K UHD in limited edition SteelBook packaging and Blu-ray starting January 23.

Parts Two and Three of the Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths trilogy will debut later in 2024. As for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, that hits all major platforms on February 2.

Based on DC's iconic comic book limited series 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, join DC Super Heroes from across the multiverse in the first of three parts of DC’s new animated film Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One, which marks the beginning of the end to the Tomorrowverse story arc.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, the all-new, action-packed DC animated film features some of DC’s most famous Super Heroes from multiple universes including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, who come together to stop an impending threat of doom and destruction.
