When
Mega Man 11 still hadn't been released, Capcom revealed that players who pre-purchased the game would be getting an alternate soundtrack for the game, titled Wily Numbers: Instrumental Stage Tracks.
The
Wily Numbers: Instrumental Stage Tracks is an in-game soundtrack that players could listen to instead of the more upbeat electronic soundtrack the game has by default. The only problem was that this alternate soundtrack could not be purchased, as it was not a DLC and was a pre-purchase exclusive.
With a more instrumental tone, the Wily Numbers soundtrack gave
Mega Man 11 a different tone by remaking every song in the game and offering a slightly different experience upon replaying the game — which could be selected from the game's menu at any time.
As it turns out, Capcom has silently made the
Wily Numbers: Instrumental Stage Tracks available, completely free of charge, for everyone to enjoy at their leisure. All players have to do in order to get this Free Update is go to their platform's online store and purchase it from there. Once the download's finished it will get automatically installed and players can choose the new soundtrack by going to Options and then scrolling down to Music Select.
Mega Man is back! The newest entry in this iconic series blends classic, challenging 2D platforming action with a fresh new visual style. The new Double Gear system boosts Mega Man's speed and power for a new twist to the satisfying gameplay the series is known for.
Mega Man 11 is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam.
