A few days ago, FDG Entertainment announced that Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom was getting a new update that would add a bunch of features to make the experience better for players.

Today, the Monster Boy V1.0.4 Update has finally become available; fixing a plethora of bugs and adding the much-needed features the developers had promised.

One of the things that many players have been wanting since Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom came out is having the option to create multiple save files, and this features has just been added in the new update.

Games Atelier has also added a Flashing Light Reduction option, that tones down some effects that could cause seizures to some players. The Hunted Manor map has been updated, adding 3 points of interests as hints — which comes in handy give that this is one of the trickiest areas in the game alongside the Volcano.

As expected from the update, over 100 bugs have been fixed thanks to the feedback the developers got from Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom players. They also fixed some balancing issues to enhance the experience.

It is worth mentioning, however, that this update has only become available for the Nintendo Switch version of Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. FDG Entertainment promises that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be getting the update soon, although they didn't give us a specific date.
