Metro: Exodus was shown for the first time at last year's Microsoft E3 conference, and caught the audience off-guard with its astonishing graphics. Amazing visuals is not everything
Exodus will have to offer, as
Metro Exodus’ script is longer than
Metro 2033 and
Metro: Last Light’s screenplays combined, including all DLC. The
Exodus team has also teased the game's appearance at this year's E3.
There's a chance
Metro: Exodus will grace Microsoft's E3 2018 media briefing which will start in just under two hours. But before the official presentation, Twitter user lashman (who's responsible for Angry Joe Show's VFX) has leaked new hi-res screenshots from the upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter.
The detailed screenshots confirm that 4A Games didn't take the downgrade route and
Exodus looks better than ever. As always, players will face some mutated citizens and animals of Russia. The last screenshots feature the Aurora, a heavily modified steam locomotive that protagonists Artyom and Anna board to find a new place to live at far to the East in
Metro Exodus. Take a look:
The year is 2036. A quarter-century after nuclear war devastated the earth, a few thousand survivors still cling to existence beneath the ruins of Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro. They have struggled against the poisoned elements, fought mutated beasts and paranormal horrors, and suffered the flames of civil war. But now, as Artyom, you must flee the Metro and lead a band of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a new life in the East. Metro Exodus is an epic, story-driven first person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created.
Metro: Exodus has been pushed back to 2019.
