To say that development for the long-awaited
Shenmue III has been complicated could definitely be an understatement, as the developers have been challenged and forced to delay the game's original release date quite a few times.
Thankfully, Deep Silver and developer YS Net announced in June of this year that
Shenmue III will finally be releasing on the PlayStation 4 and PC on the
19th of November.
Another problem the developer ran into — although, truth be told, this is all on them — for quietly revealing that the PC version of
Shenmue III would not be released on Steam like it was promised; only becoming available as an Epic Game Store exclusive.
Fans also weren't thrilled about the facial animations for the characters in the game, which look unexpressive; in spite of the graphics actually being quite decent.
Today Deep Silver released a new trailer that actually shows off the beautifully realized word of
Shenmue III. While the characters still need some work in the facial animations department, there's no doubt that the game's open world looks phenomenal.
