Bloober Team's
Layers of Fear launched for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016 to generally positive reviews, as the story-driven solo campaign that merged elements of horror and exploration allowed the player control a psychologically disturbed painter who is trying to complete his magnum opus that hides a terrible secret from the protagonist's past.

Project Méliès, which was teased for the first time back In March. It turns out that
Méliès is actually
Layers of Fear 2 as the short teaser suggest the horror title will still manage to launch this year, but the game's official site says we will have to wait to play it until 2019. The studio may launch
LoF2 this Halloween, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
While further details were not announced, the aforementioned teaser trailer indicates that the sequel will take place on a boat, at least partially. Bloober Team is reportedly aiming to recreate the atmosphere of fear from Alfred Hitchcock's weirdest movies and Georges Méliès' most spectacular and dangerous illusion shows.
