Developed and published by independent studio Discord Games,
Chasm combines action-adventure elements with Metroidvania exploration; offering a huge open world for players to explore at their leisure.
The game was already released on the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Steam back in July, and today the game has officially become available for the Nintendo Switch; allowing players to take this grand adventure on-the-go, or simply play the game at home on their TV.
A very interesting aspect of
Chasm is that its open world is massive, non-linear, and procedurally generated; which means that the experience will different with every playthrough, adding a lot of replay value to the already-extensive game.
Chasm also encourages this open world's exploration since it rewards players by giving them new abilities, weapons, spells, and armour pieces to fully customise their character and be better prepared against any kind of adversities that the game throws their way.
Take a look:
Thrilled to prove your worth as a knight, you track strange rumors that a mine vital to the war effort has been shut down. But what you discover in the mining town is worse than you imagined: The townspeople have begun to disappear, kidnapped by supernatural creatures emerging from the depths.
Chasm is available for the Nintendo Switch today.
