Eidos-Montréal has released the full soundtrack to its upcoming action role-playing game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy which includes a mixture of licensed '80s rock and pop tracks as well as originals created from within the studio itself.

The Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Original Video Game Playlist is now available to listen to, featuring music from legendary artists such as Mötley Crüe, Bonnie Tyler, Billy Idol, Pat Benetar, Def Leppard, BLONDIE, and more.

  • Blondie - Call Me
  • Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper
  • Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy
  • Hot Chocolate - Every 1's A Winner
  • Wang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Tonight
  • Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World
  • EUROPE - The Final Countdown
  • New Kids on the Block - Hangin' Tough
  • Pat Benatar - Hit Me With Your Best Shot
  • Bonnie Tyler - Holding Out for a Hero
  • KISS - I Love It Loud
  • Flock of Seagulls - I Ran
  • Culture Club - I'll Tumble 4 Ya
  • Mötley Crüe - Kickstart My Heart

  • Scandal featuring Patty Smyth - The Warrior
  • Starship - We Built This City

In addition to the licensed music, Eidos-Montréal also created original tracks as part of the backstory for Peter Quill. In the game, Quill is a big fan of the '80s rock group Star-Lord Band, which inspired him to adopt the moniker. In reality, Star-Lord Band never actually existed in the 80s so senior audio director Steve Szczepkowski made it a reality.

We already got to listen to one of the band's songs last month with the release of "Space Riders with No Names." This week, a second track, "Zero to Hero," was released alongside an animated music video inspired by classic '80s cartoons.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is set to launch on October 26, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A Cloud Version of the game will be arriving for Nintendo Switch on the same day.
