Square Enix officially revealed at E3 2019 that
Kingdom Hearts III will be finally released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2019. The third game in the series was announced five years ago at Sony's E3 conference and has seen a multitude of delays ever since. Unfortunately, it seems that some players are already checking out the highly anticipated title more than a month before its release.
It looks like Square Enix has decided to follow in Nintendo’s footsteps and full copies of
Kingdom Hearts III have been leaked over a month before the game is due to launch. As you may remember, a similar situation happened before the release of another Japanese title,
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, when some people had a chance to play the Switch exclusive weeks before it hit stores earlier this month.
According to some eagle-eyed ResetEra users, someone who has been part of the distribution chain for the game stole more than 30 copies of the title and is now selling them for $100 ahead of the game’s release on Facebook. Mods on r/KingdomHearts have threatened to ban those who ask for a copy of the leak, post a copy of the leak or link to another site which has leaked materials. The next month and a half will be a minefield for
Kingdom Hearts III fans who don’t want to stumble upon any spoilers.
