The wait is over.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally here. A journey that has been near 20 years in the making comes to an end today with the release of
Kingdom Hearts 3 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
“I am thrilled that Kingdom Hearts 3 is now officially out,” said Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura.
“There are many mysteries in the story, so players will want to take their time so that they don’t miss anything. The adventure lies within the journey, and not just the destination. This story marks one of the greatest experiences Sora will have with his friends, so I hope that the players enjoy it. To all of our fans around the world, thank you for eagerly awaiting this day.”
The long-awaited game will bring to an end the long-running Dark Seeker Saga as Sora and his loyal companions, Goofy and Donald (emissaries sent by King Mickey), team up with other iconic Disney and Pixar characters in an attempt to defeat the darkness and save the universe. This latest adventure will send you on a journey to worlds inspired by both Disney and Pixar franchises, including
Frozen,
Tangled,
Toy Story,
Monsters, Inc.,
Pirates of the Caribbean, and more.
And yes, many of the star-studded cast who brought to life those beloved characters across the Disney films are returning to voice them for
Kingdom Hearts 3. This includes
Frozen’s Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff,
Tangled’s Zachary Levi,
Big Hero 6’s Jamie Chung and more.
To celebrate today's release of
Kingdom Hearts 3, Square Enix has put together a special launch trailer.
The Disney and Pixar worlds are in danger of being swallowed in darkness. Only by uniting together will we stand a chance! Join the Keyblade wielder Sora as he travels across the Disney/Pixar universe and meets familiar faces across familiar places in order to fight against the Heartless and darkness brought forth by Master Xehanort.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
