Unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, Aniimo is the latest debut title from Pawprint Studio, published under Kingsglory, a new publishing label from FunPlus. This ambitious, free-to-play creature-catching open-world ARPG is slated to release in 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile platforms. Signups for an exclusive closed beta on PC are now live at aniimo.com, with testing expected to begin later this summer. Check out the official reveal trailer down below:

Set in the vibrant world of Idyll, Aniimo invites players to explore, capture, and bond with magical creatures known as Aniimo. The title promises cutting-edge visuals, deep customization, and a bold new take on creature RPGs thanks in part to the game’s signature “Twining” system, which allows players to merge with their Aniimo partners for new abilities, perspectives, and gameplay possibilities.

Key Features Of Aniimo:

Discover the Aniimo: Players can capture, train, upgrade, and evolve beautifully rendered magical creatures each with distinct personalities and traits.

Twining Mechanic: A fusion system that allows players to bond and merge with their Aniimo, unlocking fresh combat mechanics and traversal methods.

Expansive Open World: The lush world of Idyll offers an interactive environment filled with mysteries, ancient ruins, evolving ecosystems, and dynamic biomes.

Cross-Platform Play Ambitions: Launching on Xbox, PC, and mobile, Aniimo is designed from the ground up for shared experiences across all platforms.

"Like every other player, the Aniimo team has always believed that one day, there will be a game that exists that makes all our dreams come true. Instead of waiting any longer, we created it ourselves," said Jovi Zhang, Executive Producer at Pawprint Studio. "The world of Aniimo is now ready for you to explore with us, and we can't wait to see you there!"

"Aniimo will shake up the creature-collecting genre and introduce players to an expansive and beautiful open world,” added Chris Petrovic, Chief Business Officer and Chairman of the Board at FunPlus. "We’re building this experience with players at the center, starting with our closed beta this summer.”

Aniimo represents the first major move from Kingsglory, FunPlus’ newly formed publishing initiative focused on building original IPs with high-end technology and deep player engagement across platforms. With Aniimo, they’re looking to redefine the creature-catching genre with an emotional, immersive journey fueled by player feedback and innovation.
