BioWare is currently officially working on two major projects: Anthem, the acclaimed studio's first MMORPG since 2012's Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Dragon Age 4 — supposedly titled The Dread Wolf Rises but that would me one long name – and there's a small chance the creators of Mass Effect and Neverwinter Nights are also secretly developing yet unannounced game related to Jade Empire.

As a reminder, the first (and so far last) Jade Empire was released in 2005 (two years before the first ME came out) to positive reviews, but this inspired by Chinese mythology and martial arts title failed to capitalize on its unique setting and deepened RPG mechanics. If you don't trust me, you can check out this classic on all Xbox systems (even XO as JE is playable via backwards compatibility) and PC.

EA has filed a trademark for Jade Empire along with Apex Legends (a Titanfall spin-off announced an hour ago) to use the brand for “entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game," so there's a big chance that BioWare is indeed developing a new JE or a remastered version of the 2005 RPG. At the time of writing, EA had not revealed any plans to make any Jade Empire sequels.
