THE WITCHER 4 Should Put The Spotlight On Ciri According To Geralt Of Rivia's Voice Actor Doug Cockle
Doug Cockle, voice of Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series of games, recently admitted that the fourth instalment in the popular series should focus on his character's adoptive daughter, Ciri. Find out more...
Geralt of Rivia has been the protagonist of all three The Witcher games but now, his voice actor, Doug Cockle believes that believes that the series should shift its focus to Ciri.
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt acted as a satisfying end Geralt's story which means that, should CD Projekt Red (the studio behind the games) be up to a sequel, it would most likely have to have a new lead.
In a recent interview with Gamereactor, Cockle admitted that he believes a fourth game should focus on Geralt's adoptive daughter. Upon being asked whether Geralt's upcoming appearance in SoulCalibar VI will mark the end of his run voicing the character, Cockle had this to say:
I can only say I have no idea, although I think it will be. This is my own opinion, and CD Projekt Red knows what they are doing, and I have no idea what the plan is, but if I was CD Projekt Red, I would make The Witcher 4, but I would be focusing on Ciri.
CD Projekt Red's studio head has previously stated that a fourth instalment in the series will not happen - this was in response to countless rumours surrounding a fourth game - though that isn't to say his mind could change in the future.
What do you think about Cockle's comments? Would you like to see Ciri assume her father's place as protagonist of The Witcher series?
