TRIALS OF MANA: Square Enix Shares Clip That Compares The Original Game With The Soon-To-Be-release Title

This is definitely an exciting week for fans of the Mana series, since Trials of Mana — remake of the classic Seiken Densetsu 3 — is finally becoming available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC(Steam) this Friday the 24th of April.

The reason why Trials of Mana is such an important game for fans of the series is quite simple: this is the first time that Seiken Densetsu 3 has been localised outside of Japan. While there are some unofficial ROMs of Seiken Densetsu 3 that have been translated by fans, nothing beats an official release from the developer.

As we mentioned earlier, Trials of Mana is a full-blown remake of Seiken Densetsu 3 and, as such, it is not only making its way here in the West for the first time, but it is also giving the game a makeover that does away with the top-down view of the original, and is instead embracing a 3rd person view to enhance the experience.

Today Square Enix has released a short clip for Trials of Mana, in which the developer compares Seiken Densetsu 3 with the upcoming remake, and show off a fight with one of the series' classic giant crabs: the Full Metal Haggar.

Take a look:

In a world on the brink of war, the power of mana suddenly starts to weaken… Step into the shoes of 6 unique heroes and rescue the world from the encroaching darkness in Trials of Mana, a full HD remake of the third entry in the seminal Mana series (Seiken Densetsu 3 in Japan), never before released in the West.

Trials of Mana will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on the 24th of April.
