The highly anticipated Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) 2.1 update is officially set to release on July 15th, 2025, in the Americas and July 16th, 2025, in other parts of the world. This new patch introduces the Spook Shack faction, led by the debut of Ukinami Yuzuha, a new Anomaly support character, along with a rerun banner for Miyabi, one of the strongest characters that is currently dominant in the ZZZ meta.

ZZZ Update 2.1 becomes available after maintenance.
Players will be compensated with 300 Polychrome after maintenance, so don’t forget to log in and claim your reward.
What Can Players Expect In The New Update?
Two powerful allies from Spook Shack arrive to bolster your lineup:
Ukinami Yuzuha (S-Rank Physical Support): Yuzuha deploys her tanuki companion Kama to drop candy bombs, boosting Anomaly Buildup through her Sweet Scare skill, which adapts to other agents’ attributes and enhances Aftershock effects.
Alice Thymefield (S-Rank Physical Anomaly): With elegant swordsmanship, Alice builds up Blade Etiquette, which she spends to execute devastating Assault and Disorder damage. As a dignified and deadly frontline agent, she brings both flair and power to any team.
Also featured in rerun banners are Void Hunter Miyabi (S-Rank Frost Anomaly) and Yanagi (S-Rank Electric Anomaly), giving Proxies another shot at these fan-favorite characters.
To keep the summer energy alive, Version 2.1 introduces several limited-time events for players to test their skills at:
- Fantasy Resort Revival: Participate in restoration efforts through fun aquatic activities.
- Surfing mini-games, fishing with new species, and sea battles aboard yachts.
- New Bangboo Auto Battler event, "En-Nah" Chess Legend, includes a PvP mode.
- Simulated Battle Trial gets a refresh, featuring a new scoring system focused on combat skill.
Summer-themed outfits for Yuzuha, Alice, and the player characters will also be available, enhancing immersion during these events.
Following the typical six-week update cycle, ZZZ 2.1 is expected to run until August 26th, 2025, 3:00 PM PT (UTC-7)
To celebrate the release, HoYoverse is gifting all players 1,600 Polychromes redeemable before the end of Version 2.1. Combined with other event-based bonuses, it’s a generous reward for both returning and new players.
