Shenmue III's development has definitely been a troubled one, mainly due to the numerous delays that have even made people wonder if the game was ever going to be released or not.
Thankfully, the developer has already scheduled a definitive release date, which will finally see
Shenmue III releasing on the
19th of November for the PlayStation 4 and PC(Epic Game Store).
Sadly, there are still a fair share of fans that aren't satisfied with how things have unfolded, especially those who were promised a release on Steam; something that
Deep Silver quietly changed without letting Kickstarter backers know in advance.
Constant delays, the game now realeasing on Epic Game Store instead of Steam, and the fact that
Shenmue III still looks somewhat unpolished have slowly discouraged fans from purchasing the game, but a new trailer may make them reconsider their stance.
Released earlier today, the new trailer for
Shenmue III does look a lot more polished; giving us a good look at the game's graphics and a little bit of background in regards to the story.
While graphics in
Shenmue III still need some improvement, mainly in the facial expression department, the game looks pretty much like what fans of the series would expect, in particular when it comes to Ryo Hazuki's story — who is seen struggling to win a fight against a Kung Fu fighter; considering that Ryo is Japanese and has trained different martial arts in the past.
Check it out:
Journey deep into rural China as you take on the role of Ryo Hazuki, a Japanese teenager hellbent on finding his father’s killer—a story of adventure, mystery, friendship, martial arts, and ultimately, revenge!
Shenmue III will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PC(Epig Games Store) on the 19th of November.
