The Messenger is a 2D title, developed by Sabotage Studios and published by Devolver Digital, that was released on the Nintendo Switch and Steam in August of last year. The game is heavily inspired by the classic
Ninja Gaiden series, but it also features a Metroidvania style of gameplay, unlike Hudson Soft's
Ninja Gaiden.
For the longest time,
The Messenger was promoted as a Nintendo Switch console exclusive, but PlayStation 4 owners will now be pleased to hear that the game will also be making its way into Sony's home console.
Devolver Digital has just released an announcement trailer for their acclaimed 2d ninja platformer, and PlayStation 4 owners will finally be able to experience this brilliant game when it officially launches next week on the
19th of March.
Take a look:
As a demon army besieges his village, a young ninja ventures through a cursed world, to deliver a scroll paramount to his clan’s survival. What begins as a classic action platformer soon unravels into an expansive time-traveling adventure full of thrills, surprises, and humor.
The Messenger will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 19th of March.
