Deep Silver and YS Net's highly anticipated
Shenmue III is the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign that was announced back in 2015. For months since the campaign was funded, we've had been given a fair share of new information regarding the title.
In 2017 we finally got out first look at
Shenmue III as the developer shared a teaser and, in all honesty, it looked very rough around the edges in terms of graphics. Which is understandable, given that the game was still in early stages of development, but some fans of the series were quite vocal about it.
Back in August, we got a brand new trailer for
Shenmue III, which definitely looked a whole lot better than it did the year before, finally putting some doubts to rest. Not only graphics were the highlight, though, sicne we finally saw Ryo facing off against Lan Di, Ryo's father's murderer; making fans of the series even more excited for the long-awaited title.
As the Steam site for
Shenmue III went live today, we get a bunch of screenshots that show us the improved graphics, and the game looks simply fantastic.
Take a look:
Shenmue III sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.
Shenmue III will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PC on the 27th of August in 2019.
