Yesterday, we reported that the twitter account that was previously personally held by a random user and allegedly acquired by publisher Activision in February, @SpyroTheDragon, has posted a picture of Crash looking at a purple source of light, teasing the return of another beloved character from the first PlayStation era, long-forgotten Spyro the Dragon. Thanks to Amazon, it looks like we were right.
Today Amazon Mexico listed
Spyro Reignited Trilogy with the cover art that you can check out below in low-res. According to the listing, the remaster will hit the stores on September 21, 2018 and just like
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, you will have to pay $40 for it. But here's the bad news.
The studio responsible for bringing Crash on today's platforms, Vicarious Visions, is not working on
Spyro as the remaster is being made by Toys for Bob, the developer known for the last four
Skylanders games and the Nintendo Switch version of last year's
Crash.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy should be officially announced at PAX East today, so be sure to take a look at the cover and first screenshots down below!
