Since it was first teased back in December 2017, we haven't seen or heard much officially about
The Avengers Project. That could change next month at E3 as publisher Square Enix appears to be subtly hinting at a proper unveiling for the game during its broadcast.
Speculation that
The Avengers Project could be shown during Square Enix's E3 showcase stems from two teaser images that the publisher posted. The first, which came last month, featured the announcement in the middle of two other images that were green and blue. Another image, posted this week, featured the exact same layout only the colors of the adjacent images were swapped to purple and orange.
Fans have interpreted this as a hint that
The Avengers Project will finally debut at E3. It's believe that the colors of the images are representing four of the Infinity Stones (Time, Space, Power, and Soul). Of course, there are six Infinity Stones in total so we would need one more teaser image from Square Enix with yellow and red (Mind and Reality) to confirm the theory. There's still over two weeks to go until E3.
Despite the lack of official details,
The Avengers Project is one of Square Enix's most anticipated titles. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, creative director Shaun Escayg took to social media last year to assure fans that the studio is still "hard at work" on the "very ambitious" game. We'll hopefully get our first look at
The Avengers Project next month.
