"Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. An elegant weapon for a more civilised age."

Arguably one of the most appealing aspects of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is being able to wield a lightsaber to take down those who oppose you - be it Stormtrooper or oversized spider.

During EA Play, Respawn Entertainment confirmed that players will not be able to influence whether, the game's protagonist, Cal is a Jedi or Sith. Unlike previous Star Wars games like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the upcoming game is strictly a light side story. Recently, however, Respawn also confirmed (via Comicbook.com) that players will be able to customise Cal's lightsaber to an extent.

Like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, you will be able to change the colour of your lightsaber blade. We don't know how this feature will work or how many colours there will be, we just know that the option will be available. We can assume that red won't be an option given what we mentioned above - that players won't be able to go to the dark side.

Additionally, Respawn teased that Cal's lightsaber will evolve over the course of the game. Again, we don't know exactly what that means but it's certainly intriguing.

Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release on November 15th, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
