Supermassive Games, creators of
Until Dawn, will return next year with
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan, the first chapter of a new series. According to Supermassive, the studio will launch at least two new games a year and each title will feature a different cast of characters, stories and environments. The first one,
Man of Medan, will allow you to embark on a dangerous journey in a stormy sea.
That's right, the first chapter takes place in the South Pacific as the player will control 5 unfortunate stowaways that discover a World War II wreck. Just like in
Until Dawn, your main task in not only surviving, but also experiencing the aftermath of your choices. The lives of those troublesome teenagers are in your hands and every wrong move will get them closer to (obviously gruesome) death.
The latest trailer (released just in time for Halloween) focuses on the spooky wreck and its scary secrets. The video also gives us our first look at The Curator,
Man of Madan's narrator that has the power to alter the core storyline.
Until Dawn's narrator (The Psychiatrist) was played by Peter Stormare (
Fargo, Prison Break) and while we couldn’t confirm who's playing
MoM's narrator, it looks like
Quantum Break's Shawn Ashmore will have a role in the upcoming horror title.

Man of Medan is the first game in the Dark Pictures Anthology, bringing supernatural horror to the South Pacific. As the player you’ll get to shape the story through your actions and decisions. Who will live, who will die - It’s all down to you...
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan comes out on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One sometime in 2019.
