Left Alive is Square Enix's brand-new intellectual property that will have players taking the role of three main characters trying to survive the war between the Republic of Ruthenia and the Republic of Garmoiya.

Story-wise, Left Alive will have players experiencing three different points of view of the war in Novo Slava, each providing context that will deepen the game's plot. The game will also have players piloting giant robots called Mechas, which will make for some heated, and exciting action scenes.

All of the Mechas in the game have been designed by Takayuki Yanase, who has done work for Ghost in the Shell: Arise and Xenoblade Chronicles X, joined by Armored Core series producer Toshifumi Nabeshima and art designer Yoji Shinkawa—known for the Metal Gear Solid series.

Today, Square Enix has released a brand-new gameplay trailer for Left Alive, introducing us to some of the game's main gameplay mechanics like tackling battleas head first, taking a rather stealthier approach, and crafting traps, weapons, and various items in order to survive in this world where every decision has important consequences.

Take a look:

LEFT ALIVE tells a human story of survival from the perspective of three different protagonists during the devastating invasion set in war-torn Novo Slava in 2127.

Left Alive will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Steam on the 5th of March.
