The Quiet Man was officially unveiled this year during Square Enix’s half-hour "press conference" (which basically was a glorified YouTube stream) at E3. The short announcement trailer didn't reveal much back in June, but the enigmatic title is launching for PC and PS4 next week, so it's the right time to learn more about this "soundless" child of the Square Enix and Human Head Studios collaboration.

According to the Japanese company, The Quiet Man will be playable in one sitting, so you shouldn't expect the longest production. You will play as a mute character who's interacting with environment in different ways by using other types of languages. It looks like the hero’s favorite way of communicating is the language of violence as even the first trailer was focused on hurting gang members.

It shouldn't be that surpassing, as the combat system was choreographed by Tatsuro Koike, renowned for directing the action in Sega's Yakuza franchise, so there's a chance that the game will not disappoint in that area. Square Enix has released a brand new extended developer diary for The Quiet Man that features snippets of new exciting gameplay and interviews with the production’s crew.

Take a look:

THE QUIET MAN™ delivers an immersive story driven cinematic action experience seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG and pulse-pounding action gameplay. Unravelling within a single night, players take the role of deaf protagonist Dane as he fights his way through a “soundless” world to discover the motives behind the kidnapping of a songstress from a mysterious masked man. Embark on an adrenaline-fueled motion picture like experience which can be completed in one sitting.

The Quiet Man will be available digitally for the PlayStation 4 and Steam on the 1st of November.
