In the last few years, the THQ Nordic empire rapidly expanded, as the global publisher currently has an extensive catalogue of over 100 owned popular franchises, such as Saints Row, Dead Island, Darksiders, Metro, Titan Quest, Biomutant, MX vs ATV, Kingdoms of Amalur, Time Splitters, Delta Force, Destroy All Humans, Jagged Alliance, Homefront, Alone in the Dark, Act of War, and SpellForce.

According to Games Industry, for the three months ended September 30th, THQ reported net sales of $139.5 million. It's a staggering year-on-year increase of 1,403% over the $9.3 million reported for the same period in 2017. The launch of Titan Quest and Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered were highlighted as major successes, as the company is working on adding more companies into the group.

In an occasional statement, founder and CEO Lars Wingefors dubbed the period "another strong quarter with continued momentum". He also revealed that THQ Nordic has 55 games in development, of which 35 are unannounced, and hinted at more acquisitions to come. THQ Nordic’s next major project, Darksiders III, launches of November 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

THQ Nordic representatives also revealed that the ambitious publisher has acquired Bugbear, a Helsinki-based independent studio with 18 team members developing racing games. Bugbear is currently working on the critically acclaimed Wreckfest's console ports. THQ Nordic is also the new owner of Coffee Stain, the creators of Satisfactory, Goat Simulator, Sanctum and Deep Rock Galactic.

Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.

Darksiders III will be available for PlayStation 4 , PC, and Xbox One on November 27, 2018.
