Twitch is the number one spot for streamers, but it has also become a place for those who want to stream in sexually revealing attire over the past couple of years. The good news is, the company has been cracking down on these types of clothes, but some streamers are confused.
According to a report from Kotaku, one Twitch streamer, known as Quqco, was suspended for wearing a Street Fighter's Chun-Li costume. Also, one other streamer who goes by the name Fareeha was given 90-day probation and a warning for wearing baggy shorts and sports bra.
This is a big deal, and wee expect Twitch to continue banning users for quite some time in a bid to get the system under control. In fact, a top female streamer who is widely known as Amouranth was temporarily banned recently for showing her nether regions during a stream “by accident.”
Back in 2018, Twitch made it clear it intended to strike down on suggestive clothing. The company said clothing on stream should be good enough to wear at a public mall. After hearing this, streamers became quite confused as to what Twitch actually means.
Additionally, we should point out that Mixer, a streaming competitor from Microsoft, has been stricter when it comes down to attire.
