Twitter has revealed the statistics behind video game keywords, discussions and mentions for last year. The company states their social platform is where game publishers, media and streamers interact the most with fans and players across the world. 2018 saw 1 billion Tweets about gaming.

As you can see from the list above, Fortnite, one of the biggest booms in video game history, did not make it to the number one spot. Some fans and players Tweeted out their opinion about this matter and how surprising it was that Fate/Grand Order took the crown.
However, the company explained how these Tweets were counted. According to Twitter, these Tweets were ranked by tags, like hashtags or their "@" like @FortniteGame. Normal words like "Fortnite" were not counted. These results could change dramatically if it counted every time someone said "Fortnite".
The number one spot in the list, Fate/Grand Order, is a free-to-play mobile RPG that is inspired by the Fate/Stay Night visual novel. The game is a party-focused, card-based combat title where the player is a Master recruiting Servants and going through missions. Check out the title available for both iOS and Android.
