Starlink: Battle for Atlas will see players taking on the role of a Starlink Initiative pilot, armed with their very own, fully customisable ship; which they can customise on-the-fly depending on the situation.

Ubisoft has stated that the game will alow players to choose any pilot of their liking, as they set out on an adventure to save the Atlas system from the Forgotten Legion. The Nintendo Switch version of Starlink: Battle for Atlas will even give players the chance to pick everyone's favourite anthropomorphic mercenary: Star Fox.

Today, we are introduced to Shaid and Levi McCray; two pilots who will be joining the fight for the Atlas system. Shaid is an outlaw who will be piloting Nadir, a ship that has the ability to vanish in order to take down enemies stealthily. In contrast, Levi McCray is a member of the Starlink Initiative and his ability is simply called Danger Zone, which gives his ship an invincibility boost for a short while; allowing him to take down his enemies head first.

Take a look:

Lead a group of heroic interstellar pilots who use modular starships to mix and match their unique gear and skills on the fly. Travel the star system to unite the galaxy against villainous destructive forces.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on the 16th of October.
