During the PC Gaming Show at E3, Digital Extremes revealed a new teaser for
Warframe's next major expansion,
Empyrean (previously referred to as
Codename: Railjack).
First teased at last year's TennoLive,
Empyrean is an "ambitious cooperative space combat expansion," for the free-to-play third-person action game. While gameplay has predominantly taken place on land, the expansion aims to seamlessly take players into space where they can engage in cooperative, tactical, ship-to-ship combat.
The cinematic teaser highlights some of this action, but you'll have to check back later this year for the full reveal.
If you enjoyed this trailer, be sure to
check out last year's demo of Empyrean, which showcased the Railjack's Engineering capabilities, a fight against a Corpus boarding party, and more.
Warframe's
Empyrean expansion will be fully revealed at TennoCon this summer on Saturday, July 6. For the first time ever, Digital Extremes will be streaming all Main Stage TennoCon panels throughout the day before TennoLive. If you watch any panel on Twitch or Mixer for 30 consecutive minutes, you'll receive a free Lotus Ephemera. At 6:00 p.m. ET, tune into TennoLive 2019 for the full reveal of Empyrean and get a free Nekros Prime.
Warframe is free to play on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
