Warframe's next big expansion, Fortuna, finally has a release window a bit more specific than "late summer or early fall." Announced today, the Fortuna update will go live for Steam PC in November, though we don't yet have an exact day.
In the upcoming update, players will take to the stars and head to Venus. The Venusian landscape is said to be "four to five times bigger" than last year's Plains of Eidolon update and it brings "a different Orokin-infused look, feel, and experience to Warframe's growing universe."
Specifically, players will head beneath the sludge and slow, to the underground neon city of Fortuna, home of the Solaris United. New bounties and missions will be available, as well as the new K-Drive hoverboard which you can take out to explore the mountains and coolant rivers of the Orb Vallis.
Tenno (players' name in-game) will follow the Solaris United faction's struggle against their Corpus overlords by picking up bounties and missions underground in the internment camp of Fortuna, and, using the new K-Drive hoverboard, will get wicked across exotic new terrain peppered with Orokin structures, towering mushroom stands, and oceanic flora.
Warframe's Fortuna update will be available next month for PC. Fortuna will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One "this winter," while the Nintendo Switch version of the game will release November 20.
