WWE 2K18 features a wealth of talent, including many new additions from both NXT and the Cruiserweight division on 205 Live. However, as per usual, there are some notable omissions and there are often any number of reasons for that. 2K Games frequently locks down the roster by WrestleMania and that means a lot of fan-favourites have been left on the shelf this time around.
On RAW, by far the most disappointing absentees are Matt and Jeff Hardy. They made a surprise return at WrestleMania, though, so that probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.
The flagship show hasn't fared too badly, though, as the only other star missing is Elias. That's probably because his entrance is expensive to produce and he was in NXT around WrestleMania season so chances are he wasn't a priority in terms of NXT talent being added to the game. On the SmackDown Live front, there's no sign of the Singh Brothers, Shelton Benjamin, James Elsworth, Lana, and Mike Kanellis. Most of those are probably down to timing but you'd think that Lana would have at least found her way into the game even if it's just as a manager!
For 205 Live, we're not getting Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak, Lince Dorado, Mustafa Ali, and Tony Nese, a surprise considering the fact they'll all been part of the Cruiserweight division since day one. Then again, any number of these wrestlers could be added to WWE 2K18 as DLC so it could be too soon to start getting mad at 2K Games for these missing Superstars. What do you think?
