Last week, we brought you a very cool video which focused on the battle between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg at Survivor Series and how that tied to the recently released WWE 2K17. With the latter a pre-order bonus for players and the former featured on the game's cover, it made perfect sense for the WWE to promote the game with a real-life match between the two, but when they did finally come to blows last night, things didn't go as expected. It featured an ending no one could have seen coming.

Goldberg speared Lesnar twice and then hit him with a Jackhammer in order to score a victory within two minutes. It's a result which has divided fans who watched Survivor Series, but one which was reminiscent of Goldberg's glory days in WCW. Now, rumours are pointing to a proper rematch taking place at next year's Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, but it will be interesting to see whether or not this match helped increase sales for WWE 2K17. If so, expect more "fantasy warfare" this time next year!
