Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been quite the heavy hitter for Nintendo. The company even revealed that the game had already surpassed the lifteime expectations they had, which is no small feat in any way; considering that the game launched in March of this year.
If there is one thing that players have been requesting, however, is that Nintendo added more content to the game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons brims with content, but once players have built their town, there isn't really much to do — other than visiting other people's islands.
Now that summer has just begun, Nintendo has revealed that some fun new activities will be added to the game via and update that goes live on the 3rd of July. What's more, the developers have also revealed that they are bringing swimming back, and players will be able to swim in the ocean and capture sea creatures for the museum.
New characters and some new DIY recipes will also be added to the game via this free update, but Nintendo has also revealed that this is only the first summer update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as a second update will be released early in August.
