In December of last year, Square Enix announced that Bravely Default was getting a sequel, and that this new role-playing adventure title was expected to launch at some point this year; sharing a trailer that was more of a teaser than anything, as it featured no gameplay.
It wasn't until March of this year that the developer finally released a proper gameplay trailer for Bravely Default II that introduced players to the new cast of protagonists, revealed some details about the game's main story, and also showed off some gameplay.
Unfortunately, Square Enix again didn't reveal when the game would be officially releasing; not even a tentative release window. That is, of course, until today, as the developer has finally revealed that Bravely Default II will be officially hitting store shelves on Friday the 26th of February, 2021.
Square Enix has also revealed that pre-orders for Bravely Default II have just become available via Nintendo's official website for the game, which you can easily visit by clicking right here, as well as on the Nintendo Switch's eShop.
It is also worth mentioning that a playable demo for the game has actually been available on the Nintendo Switch eShop since March, which will do a fine job letting you decide whether Bravely Default II is your cup of tea or not.
A new gameplay trailer for Bravely Default II was also shared this morning during the surprise Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, so be sure to give it a watch down below.
