Yesterday Nintendo released a surprise Direct Mini presentation that wrapped up with a brand-new trailer for Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja's Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which revealed that the Divine Beasts from The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild would be playable.
The trailer didn't just reveal new details about the game, but it also announced that a playable demo of the game was becoming available later that day so that players could easily download it from the Nintendo Switch eShop, and see for themselves whether Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is of their liking.
As it turns out, and as it was to be expected, dataminers have already decided to dig through the game's source code, and they have seemingly come across the full roster of playable characters in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and there are quite a bunch that the developers have yet to reveal.
Whether this is legitimate or not, we will still advice you to stop reading from this point on, as there will be some spoilers you may want to avoid. With that out of the way, let's jump right into it.
Nintendo has already revealed that all of the Four Champions, as well as link, Zelda, and Impa will be playable, but there are a bunch of other characters that will apparently also be playable, from very interesting choices like King Roham of Hyrule and Prince Sidon of the Zoras, to the Great Fairy and even Ganon.
The full list of characters that will, allegedly, join the roster in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is the following:
-Link
- Impa
- Zelda
- Urbosa
- Mipha
- Revali
- Daruk
- King Rhoam
- Hestu
- Riju
-Sidon
- Teba
- Yunobo
- Great Fairy
- Master Kohga
- A Monk
- Mini Guardian
- Ganon
Anyone who's played any of the titles in Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja's Warriors series will know that these games feature a huge variety of playable characters. In fact, the original Hyrule Warriors gave players over 30 playable characters; some of which became available via paid DLC.
If anything, and whether this list ends up being real or not, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity could feature even more playable characters as the developers announce additional content down the line; so far, this has not been confirmed nor denied, so we'll have to keep our eyes peeled for further announcements.
