Nintendo of America has confirmed that a new LEGO set based on The Legend of Zelda is set to arrive in 2026. Revealed on social media, the teaser video features Link, Princess Zelda, and an ominous silhouette, but stops short of actually revealing the set itself. However, those familiar with the beloved video game franchise know exactly what is being teased.
The video appears to recreate a scene from the N64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, where Link and Navi face off with Ganon. Princess Zelda is seen in the background.
The video is accompanied by a quote from Nintendo that teases: "Do you realize who you're dealing with?" Again, fans of the franchise should recognize this iconic line as part of the longer quote from Ganon in Ocarina of Time: "Pathetic little fool! Do you realize who you're dealing with? I am Ganondorf! And soon, I will rule the world!"
The clip stops just short of revealing Ganon, but does reveal that the new set is coming in 2026.
The new Legend of Zelda set with Ganon has been rumored for a while now with numerous leaks popping up over the past couple of weeks. According to BrickFanatics, the new set will be a diorama that consists of 1,003 pieces and will be released on March 1, 2026.
This will be the second LEGO set based on The Legend of Zelda franchise, following the massive Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (#77092) that released last year. This set boasted 2,500 pieces and retailed for $299.99. As a 2-in-1, fans could build the tree from Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild, and enjoy two minifigure versions of Link, plus Young Link and Princess Zelda.
Pricing for this new Ocarina of Time Ganondorf Diorama has not been leaked yet, but the number of pieces suggests it should be cheaper than the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1. On average, LEGO sets with 1,000 pieces typically retail for around $100, but can go as high as $120 depending on the license. In this case, The Legend of Zelda is a pretty big franchise, so we can expect to pay premium for it.
2026 is shaping up to be a busy (and expensive) year for Nintendo and LEGO fans. Latest rumors have suggested that the LEGO Pokemon line, which has already been announced, will launch in 2026 and feature over 20 sets, including one that's priced at $650 and includes over 6,500 pieces which allows you to build the Gen 1 starters Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. There has also been rumors of a set inspired by Eevee and another that will feature Pikachu and a Poke Ball.
The LEGO Pokemon sets have been rumored to launch in March 2026, which makes the leaked release date for this Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time set all the more interesting.
