Metroid Prime 4 was initially announced during the E3 back in 2017, and Nintendo revealed in January of 2019 that the game was being indefinitely delayed. The good news was that they also confirmed Retro Studios to be officially working on the project, which is the same developer that worked on the first three entries in the Metroid Prime series.
While Nintendo hasn't officially revealed any news in regards to the long-awaited and highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4, that doesn't mean that we haven't been able to find out about the state of the project itself — even when said information comes from job listings.
The latest bit of information about Metroid Prime 4 reveals that Marisa Palumbo has recently joined Retro Studios, and has been appointed Lead Producer for the long-awaited title. Palumbo had oreviously worked for Rockstar Games, where she previously produced games like Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto V, and Red Dead Redemption; to name only but a few.
Just in August of this year, Retro Studios revealed that they were looking for a Lead Producer, and Marisa Palumbo now joining Metroid Prime 4 as Led Producer is actually pretty great news, as it means that the project finally has someone making sure that everything works within the game's development.
This still means, however, that Metroid Prime 4 is in very early stages of development, so it may be a while before Nintendo or Retro Studios officially share news about the game. The fact the developer has found a Lead Producer in Marisa Palumbo is, as mentioned above, great news; we'll just have to be patient.
