For anyone not aware, PlatinumGames announced earlier in February that they were working on a brand-new intellectual property called
Astral Chain, which is coming out as a Nintendo Switch exclusive and will release on the
30th of August.
PlatinumGames has already revealed that
Astral Chain borrows elements from renowned franchises like their own
Bayonetta series and Square Enix's
NieR: Automata, calling
Astral Chain the perfect middle point between both series — which is something that has players anticipating the game with enthusiasm; and for good reason.
Well, today we have great news for those who can't wait for the game to come out, as Nintendo announced today that
Astral Chain can now be pre-purchased via the Nintendo Switch eShop; for those players who want to get the digital version of the game.
Nintendo also revealed the icon that players will see when they finally aquire PlatinumGames'
Astral Chain, and it is pretty much the same art used on the game's box art.
Take a look:
Astral Chain is a new action game from PlatinumGames, the creators of the Bayonetta™ series. As part of a police special forces unit in a multi-cultural futuristic city, players work together with a humanoid special weapon, Legion, in a synergetic action system of battle and exploration.
Astral Chain will be available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on the 30th of August.
