As anticipation builds towards the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, there's tons of speculation as to the console's launch lineup. Nintendo officially revealed the Switch 2 in January, but was light on actual details. Instead, we'll have to wait for the official Switch 2 Direct presentation next month.

But in the meantime, there's been plenty of chatter about the Switch 2's launch lineup, which figures to have much more third-party support than its predecessor thanks to the console's improved hardware.

One of the publishers seemingly supporting the Switch 2 at launch could be Bandai Namco and according to a new rurmor, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero could be a launch title for the console. Content creator eXtas1s, known mostly for Xbox leaks, recently spoke about the potential for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero being a launch title for the Switch 2.

In his video, eXtas1s mentions how most rumors involve Elden Ring and Tekken 8 for the Switch 2, but that he's received confirmation that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will be available at or around the system's launch.

“Bandai Namco is a preferred partner for Nintendo, which in addition to developing games directly for Nintendo also releases its great games for its platforms, and there has been a lot of speculation and there were even rumors about the arrival of Elden Ring and Tekekn 8 for Nintendo Switch 2. Well, these two games from what I've been told, of course they will arrive on Switch 2, but we are forgetting something that is a game that they confirmed to me and is planned to be released practically at the console's launch: Dragon Ball Sparkling Zero.”

He goes on to say that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will release for the Switch 2 at the end of June, which is a rumored timeframe for when Nintendo's console will release. Nintendo has so far only confirmed a 2025 release for the Switch 2, but speculation from industry insiders say it could launch anytime between April and October of this year. The general consensus, however, is a summer release for the console.

Nintendo is scheduled to host a Switch 2 Direct presentation on April 2nd, which should provide more details about the highly anticipated system. In addition to hardware specs, we'll hopefully get launch information like a release date and pricing. We're also hoping to learn more about the games that will be available at launch.

Developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a fighting game based on Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball franchise. A sequel to 2007's Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, it's a 3D team fighting game in which players can form a team of five characters and pit them against another team, recreating iconic battles from the beloved anime or creating their own fighting scenarios.
