While there had been rumors that suggested that Nintendo was working on both a budget and a pro version of the Nintendo Switch, nothing was ever confirmed by the company itself; for the most obvious of reasons.
It wasn't until
Nintendo officially revealed the long-rumored Nintendo Switch Lite, just a few weeks ago, that we finally had confirmation that at least one of the rumored revisions of the console was true — but it turns out that the console had actually leaked way before the rumors started doing the rounds.
As recently resurfaced by
Reddit user Thraxamo, the
Nintendo Switch Lite had been leaked back in April in a post by Twitter user
@PiranhaCapital; — where not only do we get some of the console's specs, but we also get our first look at the Turquoise version of the Nintendo Switch Lite; and, of course, no one believed this was a real thing.
The only difference with the real
Nintendo Switch Lite and the one shown in the leaked photo from April is that some elements like the game card slot and headphone jack are actually mirrored — even when we take into account that that this leaked photo is also mirrored; perhaps suggesting that what we're actually seeing there is an early prototype of the finish product.
