Code of Princess EX is a combination of hack-and-slash and beat 'em up action game developed by Studio Saizensen and published by Nicalis that was announced for the Nintendo Switch earlier in March. Now the game has been officially given a release date and will be available - both digitally and physically - on the
31st of July. Pre-orders for
Code of Princess EX are
available on amazon right now.
The game will feature a massive roster of 50 playable characters that can be fully upgraded with new equipment and abilities, that allows players to go it alone in Single player mode or be joined by friends and play in Co-op mode. As shown in the trailer, players can move freely between three different planes during those heated battles.
Code of Princess EX also features some beautifully realised worlds, and characters created by Capcom artist Kinu Nishimura. If the name doesn't ring a bell you're probably familiar with his art that has been featured in fighting games like Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter Alpha series, and even Marvel vs Capcom, amongst many other Capcom titles.
The Launch Edition of the game will include a full-colour instruction booklet and a 3" CD soundtrack sampler, which definitely sounds like it will be of good value for collectors out there.
Fans of both - beat 'em ups and hack-and-slash games - will definitely feel at home with
Code of Princess EX. Characters and animations look smooth and polished and the action seems to be the icing on the cake that will, most definitely, be a treat for Nintendo Switch owners.
This hybrid beat-'em-up/role-playing game has crazy replayability, with multiple game modes, online and offline multiplayer and over 50 playable characters, each of which can be upgraded to increase their abilities in six different categories.
