Super Mario Odyssey is a 3D platformer developed and published by Nintendo and starring the widely-known videogame character Mario. The game was released late in October of 2017, getting a lot of praise from critics and gamers, and was even nominated for
Game of the Year, losing out to Nintendo's very own
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, which had been dominating throughout most of 2017.
In the game, players need to save Princess Peach from the evil Bowser who has kidnapped her and now wants to marry her after all these years. To save her, Mario will get the help from Cappy, a native from the Cap Kingdom, who turns into Mario's red cap, and gives him the ability to possess enemies.
Throughout this adventure, Mario and Cappy can wear different outfits that only serve a cosmetic purpose but they're really fun to unlock and offer some variety, look-wise, to the classic red and blue suit that Mario wears. These outfits can be unlocked by going to the Crazy Cap shop and purchasing them using either purple coins, or Power Moons as currency.

YouTuber Mizunmi, as reported by
IGN, we get a closer look at some of the outfits that were not used in the game. These outfits were found through data mining and could well end up being used in the game at a later date but, as of now, they have not been officially revealed. Among the outfits we get a Zombie, Racer, Conductor, Santa, and 8-Bit Mario outfits.
As an obscure reference, Nintendo decided to write Mario Motors on the Racing outfit. Mario Motors was an unreleased Nintendo DS game where players could create engines by using the DS' touchscreen.
