The Nintendo Switch is on the way to becoming on of the company's best consoles ever, selling over 17 million units within a year since its release, and exceeding all expectations. So it is only natural that Nintendo would, at one point, revise the console and offer some improvements.

One of the biggest flaws that users have found regarding the Nintendo Switch is that there is no way to charge the console unless it stands inside its dock, which automatically sends the signal to the TV so players can keep gaming on their TV instead. The problem with that concept is that, due to the Switch's portability, some players don't necessarily play at home where they have access to a TV, making that gaming session come to a halt. It also doesn't help that Nintendo did not offer any other method for charging your console other than the dock.

While it is possible to connect the charger to the console without having the charger's cable go through the dock, the problem is that it is simply uncomfortable, especially since the USB-C charging port is on the bottom of the console(this done intentionally so it can work with the dock's design), plus preventing Co-op modes since there is no way to have the console charging in a comfortable position to play without holding the console in your hands. So Tabletop Mode was pretty much, well...off the table.

Well, now Nintendo has finally addressed this issue as they announced that an adjustable charging stand is on the way and will be available on the 13th of July, and will cost $19.99. This new stand will be fully adjustable, making it even a better choice for Tabletop Mode than the console's very own kickstand, so it is an accessory that most users will probably end up getting at one point. Hopefully Nintendo keeps addressing things like this to make the experience even better for all players.
