When the
Nintendo Labo was first announced, people were confused mainly because Nintendo using cardboard seemed like a gimmick and most people are kind of tired of gimmicks when it comes to game consoles. It turns out that most of those doubters are now really looking forward to Nintendo's DIY cardboard sets, and it's all because of the software these kits come with. Sure, you still need the software that also includes games and other applications. Look at it this way, each kit has its own cardboard accessories and software, but there are other projects you could create on your own via the Toy-Con Garage.
The Toy-Con Garage, is a software that will teach players some very basic programming for the cardboard accessories, such as the piano, guitar and drums. In the case of the guitar, the Toy-Con Garage allows you to program the Switch as a guitar by tuning every single string that you can then play by touching the screen. You can even change the pitch by pressing the buttons on your Joy-Con and even tilt it to change the frequencey of the sounds. Not to mention that you can even assign different sounds to your guitar's strings and make them sound like a piano, organ or even a cat...yes, a cat.
